Baymont Inn & Suites Wilmington NC

Baymont was never one of my faves but my last visit proved that things have changed. I believe it has changed management over the summer and the change is appreciated as the new owners are friendly and accommodating. I was able to check in early even though the room was booked in my boyfriend's name he told him I would be checking in alone while he was still at work and they were able to do that for us with no hassle. He was able to book and pay for the room online I showed up showed my ID and checked in it was a very easy process the most businesses seem to overcomplicate these days. Also noted was the renovation going on the room I had was newly renovated with a huge bathroom that was super clean. The only thing good about this hotel is it's location. Book somewhere else. Hot water is scarce and takes over 20 minutes to warm up. The rooms are not clean, hair on the shower wall, dirt in the tub. The room wasn't swept as crumbs were on floor by bed. There's a $50 dollar deposit on the room that's not mentioned until you arrive esp when booking online. We (couple) arrived at lobby in plenty of time for breakfast, but didn't have time to sit and wanted to grab and go. We had our room key also to turn in so desk clerk knew we had spent the night and yet would not allow us to leave with a waffle each. A waffle. Srsly. Won't be back ever.

Beware of this place and management. It was not only the fact that I was bitten by bugs and I have been traveling the last week and stayed in other Wyndham properties and no bugs, so the bites on me came from this hotel. When I got in the room there was toilet paper still in toilet that wasn't flushed. Thank goodness I had baby wipes in the car to wipe off the toilet seat because who used it and didn't flush??? The toilet seat either needs replaced or tightened because it's loose. No extra roll of toilet paper and the one on the roll was 3/4 gone. No shower bench although I would not have taken a shower in the dirty tub. The tub faucet leaks and makes a brown stain on tub so that has not been addressed for awhile for there to be a brown stain where it is leaking. The AC Heat is filthy, fi

Positive: I only liked the location that was it. Negative: The room was extremely dirty, so bad I paid for instacart to being me cleaning supplies to sanitize literally everything, the bed, the headboard, the floor, the toilet the desk...EVERYTHING. There was mold/mildew on the headboard, ceiling, and chairs.

My family and I were truly blown away by our recent stay at Baymont Inn. We recently moved here, following a house fire and accepted things would not be normal during the holidays. However, thanks to the generosity, hardworking and kindness of this staff, we were able to have an amazing holiday. We had noticed they had been working hard to set up a dinner in the breakfast area, for what we assumed to be for the staff. However, it was for not only employees but for the motel guests, who wanted to join. Although, I was greatful, I had not expected it to feel like a real Thanksgiving. I had imagined we would be handed a plate and sent on our way or sitting awkwardly in the dining area. Again, I was wrong. As people of all walks of life came in, everyone was greeted with a warm smi
