Baymont by Wyndham Des Moines North

Room not clean. Used bar of soap in the bathtub. They offer shampoo and body wash on the shower wall and they were empty. They advertise a pool but it was not available and the front desk worker said it was closed because it was dirty. The driveway is covered in ice. The entrance smells like marijuana and the hallways smell like cigarettes. There was a cockroach in our room this morning. Absolutely disgusting. 🤮

Positive: "" Negative: Room Door was broken and or weak. No shampoo available. small soap. Area is industrial not much unless you drive a mile or more. Bed was comfortable, TV selection was great!

Worst place ever stayed. Air conditioner sounded like a jet engine ready to take off. No pillow cases on pillows. Requested a different room was told nothing available. Hallway was dirty. Refrigerator was just a block of ice. Needed defrosted. Would not recommend to anyone.

I was staying at the Super 8 adjacent, which is apparently managed out of the Baymont. My Hotwire deal said continental breakfast was included. There was none that I saw. They have three airpots for decaf, regular coffee, and hot water. The regular was empty. The decaf was cold. Made me wonder how old it was. Day? Days??? The room was fine. Clean. Right price. The room TV volume was low and could not be adjusted, for some reason. File this under You Get What You Pay For. Ngl, I'd go there again negate the price is right and the inconveniences weren't so significant that I'd be forced to go elsewhere and pay more.

Dirty nasty rooms. The housekeeper left someone else's blonde hair all over my shower. (Did you know you can contract Hepatitis C from using someone else's dirty shower?) I had no towels in my room at check in. I had to go ask front desk for them as my room phone did not work. There were what appeared to be dried blood stains on my room carpet, and there were no cups for the coffee pot in the rooms. Then there was the issue of the carpet beetles in the bathroom. And as I was collecting my things getting ready for check out a giant roach, ran across my hotel room wall. Worst Baymont I have ever stayed at. If I could give them negative stars, they'd get -40. Gross.
