Positive: Great price right on the water. Hotel seemed clean. Nice pool and hot tubs. Decent breakfast. Ferry bus will pick up at hotel to take you to the dock so you don’t have to pay to park Negative: Carpet around the pool area. Breakfast is only from 7-9. Pool had too much chlorine that hurt my children’s eyes

We come here often, its my favorite hotel when we come north. Awsome views of lake, beautiful sunrises, nice clean rooms, great beach area. Two hot tubs, large pool and sauna. Chairs, picnic tables, fire pits, corn hole, kayaks, teatherball, a small pavilion all on the beach area. Shuttle services to casino and fairy service. Free casino credits per person/day. Rooms are clean, comfortable and freshly remodeled. Have seen some improvements every time we come here. Breakfast has been improved over the past few years. I don't think this is a chain hotel, seems like a mom and pop kinda place (but I don't know). I would say the price is cheap for what you get but I don't want them to raise rates. So I will say it's worth every penny, instead. I come here to relax and unplug and always have

My daughters and I had a fantastic stay! Ed was very nice, informative and accommodating. Although dated, the Hotel exceeded our expectations. With awesome views of Mackinaw Island, early mornings were spent watching the sun rise over Lake Huron and the island. Shuttle service to the ferry docks and tickets, available onsite..super convenient. Evenings on the beach front, were a perfect way to wind down after each day! We were on a bus excursion, and most of us felt the same way. The facility is older and needs some updating. Mostly the common areas were lacking. There is no real lounge where people can congregate, the breakfast room is locked up when not in use and is unclean. The swimming area is dark and moldy. The continental breakfast was pretty marginal. So, really, the amenities were non-existent. On the plus side, being right on the water was great. The rooms all had decks facing the water, but they too could have been cleaned, and we only had one flimsy plastic chair to sit out there.

While on a bus trip to Mackinac Island, we stayed at the Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn. The hotel was ready for us when we arrived. This is an older hotel with old-fashioned keys for the doors. It could do with an update to the rooms, but they were clean and everything inside (refrigerator, light switches) was in working order.||Our room was huge. We actually had 3 beds in it, with lots of room to move around and stay out of the other person's way. We also had a nice balcony that overlooked Lake Huron. We took a walk on the beach. Watch where you step. There are lots of geese and other birds in the area.||The breakfast area was nice and had a large variety of food. The main room was very crowded, but there was also a side room where you could sit to eat your breakfast.
