Avid Hotel

Ok, let's start out by saying the rooms are super small but at least they were able to fit a king size bed in there. I only needed it for a one night stay so it satisfied that purpose. Seemed clean and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. I felt as if this hotel was an eco friendly style hotel. The hot water in the shower only gets so hot so if you like a nice hot shower, you are not getting it. They offered breakfast but it was probably one of the worst I have gotten from a hotel that offers free breakfast. Not my kind of hotel, probably won't stay again.

My understanding is that this is a relatively new building (2020). It is located at the junction of the 81 & 64. Cracker Barrel is located within a half mile. The hotel is clean and with the “clean lines” of the hotel, it feels clean. Coffee is available. Avid offers a good breakfast. Yogurt, eggs, bacon crumbles, toast and English muffins and fruit. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

I had a wonderful stay at avid hotel Staunton and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. One of my favorite things was the pool — it was always available, clean, and perfectly warm, which made it very relaxing at any time of the day. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Ravi, the cook, who was incredibly friendly and made the breakfast experience even better. Speaking of breakfast, it was excellent and had something for everyone. There were oats, eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, and more. Everything was well-stocked and organized, so you never felt like anything was missing. Overall, this hotel made my stay in Staunton comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

The Avid was a convenient location on my road trip and I booked it because it has EV chargers that actually work, and have a reasonable pet fee. The night I stayed there was a large party of moms and teen daughters, maybe after an event, and there was a lot of activity going on in the lobby with their socializing, but it was not a problem. The rooms and hallways were very quiet. My bed was a bit soft, but the linens were clean and comfortable. The temperature controls worked great. Breakfast was ok with very limited offerings, but the area was neat and tidy. I would stay again. My only complaint was that although I appreciate the vinyl floors in a pet friendly hotel, they need to do a MUCH better job cleaning them. My dog spilled a little water from her bowl by the bathroom sink, and wipin
