Aurora Borealis Motel

Stayed 10/18-10/19, booked 3 rooms. Clean rooms, convenient location, and the cleaning staff was nice! The water pressure was decent and stayed hot. Plenty of clean towels and wash cloths. Front desk staff is very short and unwelcoming. They could definitely learn some serious customer service skills. We walked in to get the continental breakfast and was never greeted or acknowledged. It wasnt until I was walkig out that I turned and said "Thank you, I hope you have a good day" that I was acknowledged. I received the response of "you too". As someone who has worked customer service for the better part of 2 decades, that certainly isnt how you interact with a guest in your establishment, especially someone who paid to be there. Great rooms and great overall experience. Rooms were very tidy and clean. Compared to other places in St. ignace, this place was great for the price we paid. Beds and pillows were a little too hard for us. Staff alright but seemed annoyed at us for asking questions about the included breakfast.

The rooms are quite small but very clean. The location was convenient to everything and the beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

This place is not as it seams. The beds were full not queen. It was a room. The "Continental breakfest" was bagles little muffins cereal and milk and juice. The creamer for the coffee was hard as a rock. Not four star at all. Never again will I stay or recomend this place. Location was good. That and the fact I was out of the rain was ok other than that junk and not recomended first time to the U.P.

I was assured 3 different times I will have a ground floor room. But, when I checked in they tried to put me in a second floor room. The majority of the room was clean except for the bathroom floor was dirty. The bathroom floor looked like it was never moped if it was they must have used dirty water. Also, the front desk is not staffed 24 hours.
