Americas Best Value Inn Tuscaloosa

We stayed one night this past weekend at Americas Best Value Inn during an Alabama football weekend, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing — especially given the price. Due to the game, the price for one night was nearly $300 for a room that was far below expectations and cleanliness standards. When we arrived, we were immediately taken aback by the conditions of the room. There were bugs all over — some alive, some dead. The towels were stained a black color, the floors had not been swept, and the bathroom was filthy with hair in the tub and visible stains/residue from a previous guest. Me and my fiance went to the hotel room yesterday for Christmas Eve and so when we arrived it was wet stains in the bed and the TV was broken and we took pictures of the bed as well as the TV the front desk lady caught an attitude told us couldn't change rooms at all and we heard and smelled something burning didn't know what was and heard loud music when I got out the shower someone was peeping through peep hole and when my finace got out the shower housing keeping tried opening the door with our knowledge. We also didn't get our full refund at all.

Good spartan accommodations that met our overnight requirements; clean room with outdated furnishings. Professional and pleasant staff, specifically Tameka, was an added factor that contributed to making the stay more pleasant.||There were some lingering unpleasant smoking odors mostly from the outside that seeped into the room. Loud a/c unit but it worked. And would recommend replacing the door seal to minimize the size of the crack to the outside (but using a towel is a quick fix).

Room rates were elevated due to Alabama vs Vandy game so we paid about $300 for a room here. The room we stayed in didn’t come close to expectations given the price we paid for the room. Sheets were stained, towels were stained, shower curtain was stained, smoke alarm was beeping due to dead batteries, numerous dead flies lying around, bathroom wasn’t cleaned - tub was dirty with hair and stains, contacts on the bathroom floor showing it clearly wasn’t cleaned between stays. The girl at the front desk had someone come in to change the smoke alarm battery, sheets, and towels. After this, the room smelled heavy of smoke and the overall cleanliness did not improve. I went to the office to checkout the next morning and asked for the manager but was given a card to call him. When I called I was

Positive: Location Negative: Staff rude, linen and towels are stained. Musty smell. Overall cleanness is poor. Breakfast only stale muffins and powder mini donuts daily. Ice machines are broken.
