Americas Best Value Inn San Jose Convention Center

I really enjoyed my stay here, if you are in a budget and just want a cozy bed and bathroom, this is super nice. I went to san jose for a concert and good thing i found this place. Rooms are nice, just in front of the inn is walmart so if you need something, just walk across the street. The civic center is only 10 mins away and the airport is 15 mins away,, staff is super helpful, there is one time, it is super new to me on how to open their shower because it's my first time to open that kind of shower knob, the staff on desk showed me and i was able to take a shower on that day. But mind you, there is no elevator, well, it's only a 2 storey building so i can understand that. And if you are looking for a breakfast too, there are lots of food places around. The managing staff was very professional and very respectful and very courteous upon checking, in. I usually travel about the country for the last 40 years and my preferences are 4 and 5 star hotels. In this case, a service for a friend was in close proximity, and so I chose this location. The only big problem I had was the day that I was scheduled to be present at services, the shower was inoperable. I was already late given that I didn't sleep well that night and overslept, and that inconvenience, made me even later. So I believe the plumbing needs to be worked on, they did jump to the occasion and brought in staff to try to figure out what the problem was with the shower head. I needed to take a shower , and I needed to take it quickly and this delayed my departure. The other thing is

Positive: Even though the building is older, the room was excellent. The bedding was lush and comfortable and the room was very clean. Staff at the front desk was professional and kind and definitely a big draw for our returning. Negative: Nope

Really value for the money. Not as posh as a full service hotel of course. But it has everything u need to spend a night in town. Rooms look better than its exterior.

The manager “Akash”, and his wife, are very nice and helpful, the property is clean, and they offer decent hotel room/experience for what they are charging. Just enough on-site parking for guests, and fast food/diner/convenience stores are in walking distance. No frills, no thrills - but definitely a fair value.
