AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Airport

I stayed at this hotel about a year ago and had a fantastic experience, which is why I was excited to return with my family and show them what all the rave was about. The location truly is excellent. There are walkable shops and dining options, convenient airport shuttle access, and even a Sprouts nearby, which is one of my favorite grocery chains. The hotel amenities are nice, and the staff throughout the property were consistently pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, this visit was VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! When I browsed the website prior to booking, standard rates were listed at over $700 per night, possibly due to Valentine’s weekend or typical Miami and Ft. Lauderdale peak pricing. We stayed one night prior to boarding a cruise. Chose the hotel due to location near stores and restaurants within walking distance. Its a newer area called Dania. The hotel has a shuttle from the airport but you need to plan it ahead of time and it was easier to get an uber/lyft. Hotel was nice and attached to a Marriott with a shared outdoor pool. The AC has an outdoor deck area off the lobby with nice seating overlooking the square. Front desk gave us water bottles at check in. The rooms were large and very nice. My only complaint is the LED panel near the door that is meant to serve as a nightlight that can’t be turned off. Last minute reservation for a flight cancelation. We got the military discount which was a HUGE blessing! Room was perfect for the 4 hours we had to refresh and jump back on the next plane. We ate at the bar downstairs- which was a little pricey and they added 18% service charge (ouch!!) on the tab. We had great convos with everyone there. Bed / pillows were comfy, and employees were nice. Shower was amazing. We were told there was a free airport shuttle on every hour. We showed up early- but they picked us up early!! Wow!!! thank you for that! I love AC hotels. it feels luxurious and they are affordable.

The hotel is is clean and modern with a free shuttle to airport which is nice. Upon check in I was told that they only do housekeeping every other day which is the first time I have heard this from a hotel and rather strange. I only stayed here for 2 nights so we did not get any housekeeping. There were limited amenities in the room as well like basic toiletries were not provided. No laundry bag, no coffee except for tea bag. But the hotel was clean, just felt it was very minimal to the services provided.
