Aashram Hotel by Niagara River

We came out here for a hockey tournament and some of the other families stayed in a hotel closer to Buffalo and had issues. It was peaceful and quiet. Very clean. Very comfortable. When I come back to see the falls. I'll stay here again.

Positive: Easy on and off freeway. Negative: Bougie motel turned to hotel in a questionable area. Was disturbing that I was forced to watch a grown man walk from the public restroom to their room with half a towel on. Bathroom door opened halfway sink too big, hole in door, blood on back of door.

GPS told us to turn into 66Th st, but the main entrance is off 65th, there is an overflow parking off 66th.it was a nice place, the breakfast area is kinda small, a TV would have been nice, not a spot to lounge in. there were no snack or soda machines, just an ice machine! outdoor sitting area was small near the main entrance.It is a short drive from the Falls area attractions, and plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. The only walking distance store is a 7-11 near by.

Terrible experience — avoid this hotel! This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The bedsheets and bedding looked like they hadn’t been changed or cleaned properly, possibly reused from previous guests. It was especially upsetting because we were traveling with our kids. We only warmed our baby’s food at the dining area and served at the room, yet they still charged us $72 extra for it! When I asked why, the owner’s husband (Kim’s husband) was extremely rude. To make matters worse, they took the extra amount directly from my credit card without informing me. Unclean rooms, rude management, and hidden charges — I would never stay here again.

Rooms are alright, the Indian gentleman on the reception at night I found quite rude but the Jamaican gentleman who checked me out in the morning was lovely! Free breakfast was pretty good actimel yogurt n various things, one of the better breakfasts iv had on my north America trip for cheap places.
