Wyndham Vacation Resorts - Long Wharf

Travellers, Wyndham vacation resorts is a wonderful watt to get away from it all and explore beautiful Newport. The off season pricing for condos is fantastic. The location is prime. You can walk to shops and restaurants and enjoy everything Newport has to offer. There are two pools and the indoor/outdoor pool is heated and was swimmable even in colder weather. There are two hot tubs too and they are the bomb. Parking is easy and abundant. Great vacation at an inexpensive price. Check it out. We recommend.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First of all, the parking lot was littered with nails and other sharp objects. I informed the front desk, and they didn't seem to care. The room itself was filthy. The sheets were stained, and there was a strange odor that made it almost impossible to sleep. The bathroom was no better, with grime in the shower and a sink that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Housekeeping was non-existent, and any request for clean towels or toiletries was ignored. To make matters worse, the fitness room was a complete disaster. On vacation, I love the beach and hesitated to make a reservation. I'd been looking at it for a couple of years. But wow, the resort and location has surpassed my expectations. There are so many places to walk, so many shops to visit, so much chowder to eat, so much swimming and hot tubbing to try, and so many excursions to take (although we did it all on our own easily). And October seems like the perfect time. It has been sunny and in the 60s. We are making our way around the country, but this is a place we'll return to.

I will preface this with: we are Club Wyndham owners The unit was clean and the staff was pleasant. The resort is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. There is a small onsite gym, an indoor pool, and outdoor pool, 2 small hot tubs, and a sauna. I would easily give the resort 5 stars, however, there was no washer/dryer in the unit (however there are free washer and dryers available) and there was not a balcony. These are 2 things I have come to expect from Club Wyndham properties so I was disappointed to not have them. I would also have liked more towel hooks in the bathrooms. Our until slept 6 people but there were only 2 towel hooks.

A very clean hotel. Rooms are pretty spacious. No washer and dryer in room but they do have washer and dryers on floor 3 that are free to use. The garbage truck coming between 6 to 8am was a little annoying. It was very loud. The fire pit area was very nice. Pool and hot tubs are perfect.
