Wyndham Lancaster Resort and Convention Center

The hotel has an appealing exterior, but the interior felt noticeably worn and poorly maintained. At check-in, the front desk attendant was difficult to understand, spoke very quietly, and seemed hesitant, which made communication challenging. On the morning of 2/27, I went to breakfast and found the employee asleep. I mistakenly believed breakfast was complimentary due to my involvement with the event. After confirming with the front desk that it was not included, I paid $21 for an omelet and a Danish and continued with my day. The room itself was clean; however, the TV setup was disappointing. It did not appear to have standard cable service and instead relied on a Roku device with streaming apps that were still logged in under other guests’ accounts. Overall, the property did not mee

I attended for HMGS Fall In! and while I can't speak for having stayed overnight, as I just went to the convention in one day, I can say that the staff were helpful and kind, and the grounds and building were well maintained. This is one of my favorite places on earth to be honest, as I have so many fond memories of conventions here over the past three decades, so that should hopefully tell you a little something.

Hotel is under new management and the owners must have never owned a hotel property until now. The location is perfect for our dance competitions, but we will be staying at a nearby hotel from now on. Avoid this train wreck of a hotel. Oh, and I paid $21 for a fuzzy navel and my husband had to instruct the bartender (also the owner) on how to make the drink. Make it make sense.

My stay was uneventful, but lacked the expectations of a Resort. Check in was easy however, some staff were difficult to understand. There was an obvious language barrier. The employees don't have an appearance expectation which ranges from ripped jeans to oversized clothing. My room, did not have a blanket or comforter! The coffee machine didn't have an outlet near. I had to move the whole thing to the table and unplug lamps to have an outlet for coffee. They unchanged $21 for breakfast and didn't even have free coffee in the lobby or offer drinkable water. The Tru Hotel next door is far better than this resort.

Highly recommend NOT staying at this hotel. Upon check-in the front reception was not friendly, but I can deal with that. When we finally got to our room, the room smelled liked cooking grease. The bathroom faucet was loose. The carpets are dirty. Air vents are caked in dust. Then realized late at night that the internet code was not provided so did not have access to internet. Realized the next day that the mattress protector was stained all over. To top it all off, the Wyndham app offered complimentary late check out to Wyndham Gold members. I reserved and received confirmation via the app. The next day at checkout, I was told this location does not honor the late check out and was already charged $30. When I spoke with a front desk manager, he offered to fix this issue and offer a refun
