Wingate by Wyndham Lexington

Can’t beat this hotel for the price. The rooms are very reasonably priced. It’s hard to find a hotel this nice for under $100 nowadays. You can tell it’s an older building the carpet kind of shows the age and some of the furniture, but they’ve done a really good job keeping everything clean and comfortable. They have a nice complementary breakfast. They even have a pool with a hot tub and it’s getting hard to find hot tubs nowadays at a hotel. I don’t really have any complaints. The staff was friendly. It was a nice clean comfortable place to stop and rest for the night, several dining options close by as well

Location is great as I have family basically across the road. The atmosphere is nice, check in is pretty east. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. It's a little pricey, but I've stayed in other hotels in Lexington and this is the best of them. However, the breakfast is awful. Eggs that don't look at all appetizing, and the sausage is just nasty looking. Not at all what it used to be. My only complaint is hours before check out, the cleaning staff was in the hallway being assigned rooms to clean, I had to make sure they knew I wasn't checking out yet (this at 8 am). The man assigning rooms was rather rude. Got back to my room and the cleaning cart was in front of my room. They weren't in there, but they made me feel like I needed to leave immediately. Positive: Front desk staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfast is real cheap. They are cutting costs to a point they are offering unhealthy breakfast, full of processed and frozen food. Our room was not cleaned in three days. Bed sheets crumbled all the time Negative: Yes: We did not like the breakfast, we did not like the beds and the bed sheets and we din not like that the room was not cleaned in three days

3.5 stars so I rounded up. It's a nice hotel and our king room was large. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. There were minor issues like a flickering light and a few small spots that weren't clean. The pool was beautiful. Slightly cold for me, but my daughter enjoyed it while I watched from the hot tub that was nice and warm but didn't quite have working jets. Breakfast was okay, just the basics. Missed having a pancake or waffle maker. They sent an email, text, and receipt under the door more than two hours before checkout. Beyond excessive and felt like we were being pressured to get out. We stayed 11/8-11/9 and the price was over $50 more than advertised for the surrounding weekends. There was a wedding taking place and a lot of guests there so I'm guessing that's what raised t

After I put in my Expedia review and now I can't changed it so I'm updating my review here in Google. Both my husband, my younger son and I after having breakfast here, we all had diarrhea, and my son puked! Not sure what, but in common we all had the eggs and cheese, and cream cheese/veggie spread. My Expedia review: (5 stars) Check in was pleasant and quick. (1 star) However a real bummer after checking in we were told the hot tub was out of order.
