Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lexington

I booked a room on Priceline for the 11th of Feb. I was on a trip from Texas to Virginia. They CLAIM to be pet friendly. I booked a room and paid for with a King bed. When I arrived my reservation was in the system, but the rude desk old man said "no pet friendly rooms available with a king bed" then he went to change it to a full sized bed. I had to stop him. I paid for a king size and you think I'm just going to settle for a full size bed at the same cost. He tells me that's between me and Priceline. I left and contacted Priceline for a refund which they claim to have processed, but I wasted an hour and had to find another place at the last minute. Wouldn't recommend and will not trust in the future They are rude and think they are going to just down grade what you paid for li

Positive: Magnificent view of Blue Ridge Mountains from my balcony. Spacious room. Privacy provided by staff after I hung "Do Not disturb" sign on outside of room door. Coffee always available in Lobby with nice flavored creamers. Very courteous staff. Negative: Would have been better if eateries were located closer to hotel. Would have enjoyed different cable tv package that offered older shows and movies - but this is not a significant issue for me in the overall scheme of things.

Was only here for one night. It’s a cheaper hotel with low expectations. The property was very out of date and had a stale cigarette smell. The room didn’t seem that clean due to a bunch of dust and light colored rings outlining the toilet and tub. Overall I don’t feel like this was worth the price they charged us. Plus it was not an impressive spread for breakfast either. There was unfortunately hair in the food we both got. I’m shocked to see how many positive reviews there are, suspicious in my opinion. The only thing I liked was that it’s a minute away from highway 81.

Super clean, nice pool, very nice rooms (comfortable bed). Easy access to I-81 & I-64. Lexington has alot of great dining, shopping, downtown shops are great also.

I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. Both queen beds had stained sheets, and the curtains were crawling with stink bugs and kissing bugs. It’s hard to believe housekeeping didn’t address this. None of these issues were disclosed during booking, and only a small sign behind the front desk mentioned anything upon check-in. When I raised these concerns, I was told a refund couldn’t be issued. We immediately left and checked into the Hilton by Tru instead. Although it cost a bit more, the cleanliness was unmatched — spotless bedding and absolutely no bugs.
