Westin Tampa Downtown Waterside

Comfortable room comfortable bed. Great service. Great views. The valet parking is the only parking, and it's $50/daily. Valet guys are efficient and quick. There was a loud noise throughout the night that you can hear in the room. Not quite sure what it was but it was on all night. Wasn't the worst, you can sleep thru it but it was weird. Restaurants below are super expensive and mediocre food. You pay for the views.

I know many of us read reviews and truly don’t know what to make of reviews. We are all human, we all want to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and find the good in everyone and every situation. I am a honest, true good person and I went to stay at this hotel, a hotel I have stayed at prior. Regrettably the management team is very unprofessional, the hotel is right above 2 nightclub settings and yacht parties below it that will keep you up at night. I regrettably was placed in a room over American Social, and Lower Deck, the noise was horrible. There was a group of people having a party on a yacht below my room additional causing further discomfort and being a nuisance. Front desk staff says this is very common on weekends yet I stayed there on a Monday. The manager was the rudest man

The hotel tried really hard. I can tell. But they missed the mark and it wasn't the customer service's fault. Here's the problems I had: The place reeks of mold/mildew. I know that they are trying their best after Helene and Milton and it's not their fault. Water levels rising that much isn't their fault. I do need to say it though to warn anyone who is sensitive to mold like me. The lobby smelled of mold and from the time I was in my room until I left two days later I was having BAD mold reaction. Other people probably would have been fine, but if you are sensitive to mold than please stay away. I did not feel good again until I left. I was sick the entire time I stayed. This was an amazing stay. This was mine and my husband's last outing before he goes on deployment next week and we had a great stay. The bed was wonderful, so comfortable. The food was better than expected and the views were fantastic. It's close to everything but still gives you the quiet, private feel of NOT being in the city. Staff was great, pool was relaxing, if difficult to find without direction. All told a great experience. Definitely stay here.
