Tampa Marriott Water Street

Excellent place to stay because it's located in the center of everything. Whether you're headed off to take a cruise, looking for a fun weekend getaway, seeing a game or concert, going to a convention or coming to Tampa on business, this location has it all. It's literally next to stadiums, business centers, the cruise port, the trolley that takes you to Ybor City and the Aquarium, the highway entrances that take you right to the beach, Busch Gardens or St Pete. Plus, it's on the river and feels like it's a million miles away from all of those things! This hotel has no road noise and is so relaxing. This hotel is fabulous and elegant. Its location is unbelievably convenient next to the convention center, river walk, free street car stop, one block from the Arena, and three blocks from the cruise terminal and Florida Aquarium. The staff was fabulous and the Anchor & Brine restaurant offers a great outdoor experience with a view of the river. The rooms were clean and spacious. The fitness room is well equipped but there’s a grade separation (steps) connecting two adjoining areas. The sky bridge connector to the JW Marriott across the street is uber convenient with easy access to SiX restaurant and The Beacon (rooftop bar). Lifetime Gold Elite Marriott members. Room upgraded to a balcony, lovely views. Beds comfy and room clean, however the toilet ran and had to get the front desk to get a repair completed. Housekeeping staff very little English so difficult to communicate, but did a nice job. Bellmen awesome. Front desk a bit overwhelmed due to the conference (top 3 in terms of size at this hotel all year). Lobby lovely with plenty of seating. Valet situation trying to leave took an entire hour. I kept walking up and down the street looking for my car. No system in place - they couldn’t tell me who had my keys or where in the world my car was parked. To the hotel manager: booking a massive party on the night one of your largest conferences ends would work if you quadruple the valet staff & get the two huge p

Location location location! I walked every day along the riverwalk. Within 3 minutes walking you can get to multiple food venues. The in-hotel Starbucks was a newly renovated shop and staff was fabulous! The water view from my room on the 27th floor was amazing. The room was very clean/new and the bed was comfortable. Easy check in on the mobile app. The gym was nice but busy, however, the rooftop pool was beautiful, well maintained, and not busy at all. The maintenance and housekeeping staff in the hotel are constantly cleaning and should be commended for their efforts. Two small recommendations would be more gym space and expand the menu options. I had a great lunch but would have wanted more options. I will be back in 4 weeks!

Alison took full ownership of my request, resolved the issue efficiently, and went above and beyond to support me.
