Welsh's Motel

After a long day of traveling, I needed a place to stay. I called around Wall and found Welsh's Motel to be reasonably priced. She was prompt and welcoming. The price of the night was great. When I came in, she was smiling and kind. She gave a good recommendation on where to eat because I was hungry. The room is simple but that is all I need when it comes to needing rest and recharging. Also she knew my name as I walked around to explore. They have some great dogs, too! I loved my stay!

Found this gem after a ride through the badlands. What a great place, so friendly, great motorcourt style motel near everything. Clean, quiet, affordable. Motorcycle friendly with bike rags and a dirt squirt located at the gas station 50 yards away. Also free de bug spray when you check in. |Room was clean, beds were comfortable and AC was ice cold. Filtered water and coffee available 24/7|Highly recommend Walsh motel over any national chain if you’re visiting the Badlands.

This was a fun little place to stay while in Wall. Old style motel but clean, comfy and super cute with its bright green and red paint and beautiful flowers. The ladies in the office are so friendly… you feel like you’ve known them for years. Loved that our room had a table and two chairs so we could enjoy a take out meal after a busy day. They also have non-pet rooms if you’re allergic to animal hair. Plus, they don’t spray heavy perfumes in the room or on the bed linens like some places are doing now. I hate to take off one star but our room had two chairs and a cigarette butt bucket right outside our door and on more than one occasion, I was a prisoner in my room while people sat outside my door smoking. I wish they would move the smoking area away from the room doors in case others are

What a great stop! I am not a fan of the chain hotels/motels, they have their place but I much prefer something like this. What wonderful sisters that own the place and keep it nice. Gotta love a place that doesn’t use a computer to check you in! Fantastic location, very clean, and provides that 1970s road trip feel.

Immaculate, affordable, and convenient! The Welsh's motel is a family owned establishment. All staff we encountered were pleasant and cheerful. Our accommodations were comfortably appointed, and spotlessly cleaned. Why is it the more modest accommodations provide free wifi and daily room refreshes? We appreciated the use of the ice maker to refill our coolers, and using the microwave in a common space to heat up leftovers. I'd return in an instant.
