Hansen Inn & Cabins

I have visited Wall, and the Badlands National Park, once or twice a year for about the last fifteen years. And over that time, I have stayed in a couple of places in town. The rooms offered have generally been acceptable, but nothing more. When I was in town last January (2025), someone I know suggested that I try Hansen Inn and Cabins. Well, I was back in the Badlands about three weeks ago and did indeed try the Hansen Inn. I spent four nights there and found it to be a delightful place at which to stay! They have typical motel rooms, a few individual cabins, a large family cabin and two, very unique Conestoga Wagon rooms at the back of the property (see the website for photos of the wagons and their interiors). Cute little spot in a rural town on our journey to MT. We stayed in one of the cabins and it had everything we needed for the night. We went in early March, just before busy season. The area wasn’t busy at all during that time, but I was told by a local things really start to get busy around mid April. Make sure you hit up Wall Drug before you leave town!

Great experience! Booking thru a 3rd party site was easy, check in easy! Location was awesome, easy to get to, 2 blocks (safe walk) to Wall Drug and the only 2 restaurants open in the winter! Clean room, Amazon Firestick, plenty of towels, fresh coffee in lobby every morning, hot water for teas, and popcorn! Their water is very soft - felt like my skin and hair never got the soap out & bath tub was too small to soak in but wouldn’t stop me from staying there again! Honestly the staff, the cleanliness and the location make it the only choice in Wall!!!

We had a great one-night stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The young lady in the lobby (I apologize for not asking her name) was helpful and pleasant. The lobby itself is very welcoming! We will certainly recommend your property to anyone we know passing through the area!

Stayed here overnight on a cross country road trip in February. Super helpful when I called and inquired how late check in was staffed. The door key code was super convenient as we were arriving late at night. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the Badlands.
