Americas Best Value Inn Wall

After spending 2 weeks in hotels and an Airbnb driving out to Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, we decided to stay here on our ride back home. After driving all day we decided to stay here…reviews seemed decent, and the price was right. WHAT A DUMP! None of the places we stayed at previously remotely compared to this place. Maybe some of their rooms are remodeled, but ours certainly wasn’t and didn’t look like what’s on their sites. We stayed in a room in the same building as the office. It was very outdated and old. Smelled VERY musty, had old furniture and an outdated bathroom. Carpeting looked like it was from the 70’s and had stains. Bathtub had hair left in it and was stained. Bathroom floor wasn’t cleaned. This was an unexpected treat and blessing! Our original reservation elsewhere was canceled (not by us) and we were stuck, late at night, trying to find a room somewhere near badlands, and these guys had availability. As a definite city slicker, I had doubts about this reservation, but it was late and we were desperate. And I was pleasantly surprised! It is a motel style place, with the doors that face the street, so I wouldn't have loved being on the first floor if I'd been traveling alone. BUT. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, the shower was hot and the water pressure was great. The lady at the front desk was helpful. Positive: Breakfast was the best thing about hotel Negative: So many things, when checking in the lady behind the desk tried to charge us for multiple things we had already paid for and had to argue that fact. Not good first impression plus hotel was expensive for the room

Our room was clean and tidy with a little bit more detailed design with a red wall and some shine and polish. TV was huge too! Walking distance to Wall Drug is a plus!

Our families stayed in a block of rooms. Rooms were damp and musty smelling. The front desk and billing service has been a nightmare. Several families have been charged double price for rooms. Hard to get ahold of Laura there. Our charges were credited back quickly, but others are still having issues of not crediting back their credit cards and it’s been a few months since our stay. On a positive side, the continental breakfast was great.
