If you’re planning a Newport, RI trip with kids, The Wellington is an absolute win. The staff was fantastic, the place was super clean, and we loved the space. Huge suites with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplace, and balcony views made it feel like home. The heated indoor pool was such a bonus for winter weekends. It’s quiet but just steps from everything on Thames Street, which made exploring easy and low-stress. We’d definitely stay here again!

The Wellington is a great place to stay in Newport. Very friendly staff and the unit was spotlessly clean. Having a full kitchen, dining room and living room makes it so easy to relax with friends. The location is perfect for walking to the shops or along the waterfront. Some of the furniture is a bit dated but it’s clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable!

Gorgeous views of the ocean. Amazing location-walking distance to boutiques, cafes, restaurants, sailing museum, tennis hall of fame. 5-10 minute drive to cliff walk and mansions. Friendly staff. We even extended our stay after the first night. Other small perks include cd/dvd/board game rental from the clubhouse and easy parking. Room was spacious. Felt like a true 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with 2 balconies as well! Slightly outdated but fully functional. Only hindrance was that we had a partial kitchen-no stovetop or oven, so not great for cooking. There is a high grade communal kitchen in the clubhouse available for use though. Don't bank on use of the indoor pool...we didn't go in (so it could be amazing) but it didn't look as luxury as it may seem compared to the photos online. Would

Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view but there were a few issues. We had no hot water in our tub/shower for our first day/night which was a real pain and maintenance literally showed up at 1:30-2am which startled my family. He couldn't fix it and had to have his boss come the next day. They did fix it the next day but not a single apology or anything. We also had the shower door bar fall off on us but I was able to put it back on. I'm disabled and the only handicapped spot wasn't plowed properly so we had to park half way between spots. The pool is separated from the units with no way to access it other than walking outside which isn't bad during the warmer months but in the colder months it's a bit inconvenient to have to walk back to your room while wet and freezing. Not to men
