Waterside Inn

I shared a room with my aunt, unexpectedly. We were out of town for a homegoing service. When I realized I was staying there, I was reluctant. I'm terrified of bedbugs & I don't sleep away from home often. I Immediatley inspected the room. Imagine my surprise to find the room thoroughly cleaned. They had matress encasements on the bed, a coffee maker, an iron, & ironing board, hangers in the closet. There was a beautiful distant view of the water from the room. Peace, & quiet surrounded the atmosphere. The water ran full stream, from the faucets, there were two sinks, & the water was nice & hot. I was so impressed. If you're ever in this part of town, & you're not really looling for flash, & a lot going on You should absolutely give this place a stay. Very beautiful experience staying here

I stayed over the fall roundup this year at Waterside Inn. I am a frequent guest at the Waterside Inn, but I have made the mistake more than once of staying elsewhere. I feel like family when I walk into the lobby. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and just nice. My room has always been very clean, neat and plenty of towels. This trip My room had a new floor, brand new recliner and a new higher toilet! Which was very welcoming for me at 76! Prices are always the best, and they offer a breakfast in the morning. I love sitting with other guests and sharing our love of the island. Even when you have a room without a view of the water, trust me, you can still see the water. Looking forward to my trip Thanksgiving weekend. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I do.

Positive: The bay view was exceptional. Negative: The room was laid out poorly. The sofa was superfluous. Ice buckets, coffee machines and cups cluttered the second sink counter. Only a small dresser. Breakfast was dreadful. Limited breakfast choices: grey turkey sausages, scrambled eggs and waffles.

Nice hotel, in a good location along the bay, close to downtown Chincoteague. The breakfast is very good, hot and fresh daily. There are only a few tables and chairs in the office to eat at breakfast, some mornings we were able to eat there, other days we took our breakfast back to our room and ate on the balcony. Love the different rose bushes in front of the hotel. The staff are very helpful and kind. A very relaxing place to stay. There are a variety of shops and restaurants within reasonable walking distance. I enjoyed that every room had a balcony view of water of some sort. This place is a hidden gem of a hotel.

What a lovely inn! The location is fantastic and the room had a nice view of the water. Parking was easy, room was spacious, breakfast was great. They have a nice dock to walk on with lots of slips if you bring your boat.||This is an older inn by the water so there is definitely signs of wear but you can see that the owners put a lot of love and effort into the property. Housekeeping needs a little work (hair in the bathroom and the fridge had food and drink from previous guest) but otherwise it was good. ||Pack bug spray!
