Watauga River Cabins

Awesome and thanks so much to the host for your kind and helpful response to our questions . The cabin was really nice and beautiful view of the Watouga river. We made and enjoyed the campfire.

My daughter and I made a quick overnight trip to Johnson City and stayed here. The setting on The Watauga River is beautiful. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The common area (BBQ Shack) is equipped with anything you need for preparing your own meals or just sitting stream side with your favorite beverage. The convenience to town surprised me. Fortunately, we included our fishing gear and the next morning we hiked along the trail that follows the river on the nearly 8 acres of property to a pleasant river shoal that was easy to wade. There, we had a wonderful Father/daughter outing.

This place is beautiful, right on the river on a quiet road. You can sit by the river in several different comfortable spots and enjoy the sound of the water. There are games supplied you can use if you like and a fire pit with free wood. There are grills to use, plenty of seating and a big yard to play in if you have kids. Our cabin was completely furnished with everything you need to stay there. Just bring your own food and you'll never have to go out. The only negative thing I can say is that our room could use some new doors, the latches and seals are old . We definitely want to go back though!

Absolutely beautiful location! Our cabin has the best views of the water and bridge. Our cabin is wonderful, we are so happy with everything. We travel with our dogs, so thrilled this place is pet friendly. Our pups would like to see more squirrels, however 😀

Stayed in the Pine Cabin. Just myself & my daughter for a weekend visit. The cabin was well appointed with all the conveniences. Clean and comfortable. Gas logs (we didn't use them because the weather was so nice) - Our hosts Patty & Gary were very accommodating. Great hospitality. Our host built a fire for us in the fire ring area that overlooks the river. We had such a good time and will always check here first for availability. Very quiet area. Our hosts also had a super friendly yellow lab puppy - Tucker who greets you with a smile and a wagging tale.
