The location and hot tubs are the best pros of this property. The homes are in a beautiful setting literally a couple of minutes drive from the National Park. There are also hot tubs shared between certain properties that were very clean and relaxing. The staff were also very nice. The only down side was that the property I was in could have done with some maintenance, especially the shower basin that was cracked and felt unsafe.

We don't usually stay at bed and breakfast lodgings, but this one turned out perfect! The bungalow we were in was very comfortable, the staff were super nice, and being located one mile from the park meant we could easily enter the park multiple times a day. We highly recommend getting the picnic lunch as it was very generously provisioned and delicious. We highly recommend Volcano Village Estates!

The staff at Volcano Village Estates was gracious and informative. The grounds are lovely, even in the rain. Umauma Falls was a perfect place to rest and warm up after viewing the eruption in the rain. The in room breakfast was satisfying and easy to prepare. Being close to the park allowed us to go in and out easily. The picnic lunch was tasty and abundant with wine, juice, and water as well as extra snacks, great when you hike all day in the park.

We stayed 3 nights (Dec 31-Jan 3) at this amazing place. The grounds are stunning and the location perfect for visiting Volcano National Park and the surrounding area. We have stayed at their sister property, VV Lodge, twice previously but were priced out for this trip. Despite the issues below, we would stay here again if pricing remains within reach. Pre-arrival and arrival communications and greeting were excellent. The provided breakfasts were delicious and addressed one person's dietary restrictions very well. Upon arrival, both rooms had an entire wall of electricity that didn't work - these walls were the bedside lights and bed heating. The onsite staff came quickly to troubleshoot and was able to correct. The rooms have a lot of switches that don't all seem to work or go to

This place was awesome! We stayed in the Pineapple Ohana, a nice little stand alone cabin. We got breakfast every morning (placed in the fridge the night before) which consisted of a breakfast burrito, quiche, and French toast, all delicious. The innkeeper was very communicative and helpful whenever we needed something. Highly recommend staying here!
