At The Crater's Edge

This is a special place, really peaceful and beautiful. The host has thought of everything! We stayed in the Jade Garden room, it was spacious and beautifully decorated. We loved the fireplace, bed warmer, banana bread, French press coffee and all of the other amenities offered. They have truly anticipated any need you may have. |Great location minutes from the park and several dining options. ||I highly recommend, truly a wonderful experience!

Great stay during our honeymoon. Dave was very communicative and great service. Our room was stocked with light snacks, fresh fruit, water, juices, coffee and tea. Banana bread on arrival day was so good (and I dont like banana's!). Hot tub and fireplace were great for the rainy cool "winter". Not much in the town of Volcano, but it was quaint and quiet. We would definitely stay At the Craters Edge again!

What a remarkable stay. Tucked away in the rainforest you’ll find this cabin retreat with floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors along with amenities like your own balcony/porch, a hot tub, heated bathroom floors, heated toilet seats and even a heated bed. Complimentary snacks, drinks and champagne to top it off! All we could say was WOW. Woken gently by the sounds of roosters, coqui frogs, and rain. If you’re looking for a quiet, non-touristy oasis - this is the place. ❤️

My wife and I stayed at the Crater's Edge in Feb 2026. It has 2 guest rooms situated in a rainforest type setting. The architecture is beautiful wood and glass immersed in lush flora. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. The king size bed very comfortable. The bath like a high end spa. They also included plenty of complementary food/snacks and drinks. We will go back in the future and recommend it for anyone who enjoys a nice place in a pretty setting. Location is also great for those visiting the national park!

Chris and Erik made our stay memorable in all the best ways. From great hiking and dinner recommendations, to the thoughtful snacks/coffee and tea in the room, to the homemade BANANA BREAD baked fresh every morning… their hospitality is unmatched. Room was clean, spacious and romantic. The hot tub on site was a nice touch after hiking all day! The tree frogs outside made for an incredible experience.
