We had such a lovely time at the Volcano Rainforest retreat. We loved being in the jungle and the quiet of the property. We loved the rooms amenities and the hot tub. Great breakfast selections and we always came back to a clean room with fresh towels. Thanks!
This was an incredible stay in the heart of the village of Volcano! What a warm, welcoming bunch. It is 20 minutes from Volcanoes National Park, and the perfect wind down after long days of hiking and eruption viewing. Each and every detail has been thought of and attended to in this place. The daily fresh papaya, local baked goods, and mac nut and coconut granola were icing on top. We booked because of the proximity to the park, but will return because of the fantastic stay itself! Would give 6/5 stars if I could. Mahalo!
We loved staying at Volcano Rainforest Retreat! It was a calm and intimate retreat just minutes from Volcano National Park. The bungalow we were in was perfect and felt like a true escape. We would spend all day hiking at the park, fueled by the fantastic breakfast of local fruit, pastries, and granola, then we would come back and relax our tired bodies in the hot tub. This bed and breakfast has honestly ruined us for other accommodations in the future!
In the rainforest right next to Volcano National Park, you’ll find this wonderful place. We stayed in the Bamboo Guest House — a private standalone cabin with its own kitchen. As the icing on the cake, there’s also a heated hot tub tucked away behind the house. I slipped into it one afternoon while the rain was pouring down, and it was absolutely magical: listening to the raindrops while sitting surrounded by trees was an unforgettable experience. The service at the property was outstanding, and the whole stay had a charm and uniqueness that really set it apart. Highly recommend this place! Mahalo
What a beautiful little gem! We stayed here 4 nights in the Skylight House. We enjoyed everything. Loved the little breakfast snacks they top off each day and a few little fridge items like small milk and cream cheese. They had coffee and teas too (we dont drink either but they were available). I had not heard coqui frogs since I was in Puerto Rico. That was a fun surprise Also saw some cute pheasants that we saw walking around. The staff were amazing and very accommodating and on site during working hours. We were only a short drive from the NP and although it wasnt part of of our plan we got to see fountain episode 34 at 4am, since we were so nearby and decided to drive over in misty rain to see it. We loved the Japanese soaking tub outside and used it several times, as well as the outsi
