Vinifera Inn

Of my 50 years of traveling, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff cared absolutely nothing about guests. They put us in a room right over 2 weddings - one each night - where the floor was literally vibrating with the noise until midnight. Had we been warned (had they been transparent) we would have picked another hotel - but they already had our money. I would not recommend staying here if you value comfort and service. Our friends staying at Holiday Inn Express had a MUCH better experience.

Vinifera Inn which is part of Belhurst Castle and Winery is in the perfect location on Seneca Lake. It is a short drive from many other wineries, parks, and all that Geneva has to offer. There are restaurants on site, and a light continental breakfast so one may have a quick bite before heading out for the day. Our spacious "reserve room" on the third floor had a great view of the lake. It had a very comfortable king size bed, fireplace (although I had no idea where the switch was to turn it on) and chairs, a desk, a spa tub, large walk-in shower, and two vanities which was a bonus. There was plenty of room in the closet which had mirrored doors. We stayed at the inn because we attended a family wedding in the Castle ballroom, so it was very convenient. The inn was very quiet too.

Belhurst Castle and Vinifera Inn are located right on Seneca Lake with beautiful views and lovely landscaping. The Inn and the Castle are quite stunning with old world charm. Rooms are spacious but lacked many standard amenities that are found in just about every hotel. Large double closets offered just two or three hangars. The one bathrobe ( not two) in my closet did not look clean. Needless to say, it stayed in the closet. TVs are very small and limited. Rooms have fireplaces (gas) but we could not use them because the hotel decides when to turn them on. Temps were in the 40s during my stay but they were not turned on for use. The most troubling issue deals with housekeeping. Our 3 night stay started off fine. Day 2 left us with a room that had no fresh towels, unmade bed, no trash remo

We were going to take a room at Belhurst Castle. However, because there is no elevator in the castle, we opted to take a room at the Vinifera Inn. There were no discounts or specials available. The price turned out to be an average of $378 per night, even though the weather seemed more like winter than spring and it was too cold to walk around the grounds||||When we opened the door to our room, I could tell by the smell that there was a gas fireplace in use in the room. It was nice having the fireplace, but we had to open the window to air out the room. The room itself was quite large. It featured a small bar with water and coffee available and a small refrigerator. It also had a Jacuzzi in one corner of the main room, and a large reasonably comfortable bed in the other. You could look

Loved Vinifera hotel. Room was excellent with a jacuzzi tub which we both used. Lots of soaps etc. View from 2nd floor is amazing over the lake. Tv quite quite small for room but other than that amazing time and close to wineries. Even though cold breakfast there were lots of options. I would stay again
