Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites

Lisa was very nice to us, she gave me a discount. And was very nice. And the room was awesome. You should go here if you need to stay somewhere in Carmel by the sea.

This was the most expensive ($376/night) roadside I've ever stayed at. I stayed in room 204 which is an upstairs kingbed room w patio in the very front building. My friend stayed in 205 which was right next door at the same rate. ||First, my friend room had a bigger balcony, sitting area and fireplace. So I feel cheated as we paid the same rate. Or she got an upgrade. Either way, that was not cool.||Second, the towels. They were very thin, cheap and small! The bath towel doesn't really wrap around (no I am not overweight). And they were so stingy with them. Why did we only get 3 sets for 2 people for 2 nights? And no housekeeping whatsoever. If there's no housekeeping, at least leave enough towels. Sure, we could call for them, but that's extra work. Again, this room rate on a

We stayed here for a night in July 2025 for a quick getaway from the Bay Area. I am not familiar with Carmel previously. The Vendange is quite nice but I do want to be specific why it isn't a five star. This is not a cheap hotel so my expectations are higher than normal. Typically we stay in various Marriott brands. Postives: Room was immaculately clean. We loved the bathroom with the upscale shower stall. Very nice water pressure in the bathroom as well. What didn't fare so well for us was how small the room was. It just felt cramped. It was a King size bed and I will say the mattress felt cheap and kind of on the hard side. What was really annoying was how little room is available between the bed and the TV cabinet. Careful walking there at night with no light. Its about one

Adorable spot on the edge of town! Our room had a great, comfortable king size bed with a patio that we loved sitting on in the morning to start our day. The room had a fridge and an updated bathroom. They also had a nice fan, which is all you need in the summer to keep plenty cool. The staff were so polite with timely housekeeping. It was a terrific spot!
