Carmel River Inn & Cottages - Carmel, CA

The cottages here are so different and perfect in their own way. The location is only 5 minutes from downtown Carmel and the drive there is so scenic anyways. The cottages have everything you need, spacious, parking, privacy and perfect for a vacation. I’m glad to have found this place because I’m definitely coming here every single time. And Amy is THE BEST EVER!!!!! She is great. She’s been helpful our entire stay here.

Such a great find! We love that it's off the beaten path without all the hustle and bustle. The property is so well kept and peaceful. The staff, from Front Desk to Maintenance, are all so friendly, helpful and gracious! And loved that it's pet friendly. The small cottage we stayed in (king size bed, micro, frig, etc) was so comfortable and homey. We'll definitely be coming back! Ted & Michelle

Carmel River Inn & Cottages is a great place to stay if you want the best of both worlds in Carmel, beach and hills! We have two dogs and this was absolutely perfect for them and such a gorgeous area. We will without a doubt be back! Stayed in the cabins with a wet bar and it worked out great for what we needed.

The staff are friendly and the rooms have been invested in - I slept so well and am ok with the decision I made to spend two nights here. However the main building's rooms suffer from very thin walls - if I hadn't found this room at a great price point for the area, and luckily been here during quiet off season, I would have been very disappointed in the main building. I could hear my neighbor's entire conversations and any sounds made, and their dog barking, until they went to bed. I could also hear the traffic on the 1 all night too - which was more of a soft white noise for me, but certainly not "quiet nature." If there had been a loud family or louder pets or a party anywhere in nearby rooms, this would have been a nighmare. Also the river is nice to look at, but otherwise the location

This place is wonderful with individual "cabins" and "glamping" cabins. We did not stay in the 2 story hotel building, but for our family the cabins worked great. Everyone had privacy but easily able to share and get together. It's dog friendly, easy access to most attractions, and the facilities are clean and charming. We had a very comfortable bed and roomy bathroom. If you have a dog, there is plenty of room for walks. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend, especially over a typical hotel or inn as it's a great value for a place so unique.
