Valparaiso Inn Bed & Breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at Valparaiso Inn. The location is within walking distance of downtown Valpo with many restaurant and local options. Jim was a wonderful host and kindly accommodated our requests. Plus he makes a terrific breakfast! I highly recommend staying here.

I was visiting family and friends in Valparaiso and was so fortunate to book the Valparaiso Inn. From the time I arrived and was greeted by Jim the Innkeeper, I felt that I made the right choice of accommodations to spend a week. The moment you walk it and see the exquisite furnishings that were handpicked by the owners, Jim and Liz, you feel like you are in Bed and Breakfast Heaven. I stayed in the beautiful Stella Suite with a Bay window overlooking the tree-lined street. The room was very comfortable and the "fluffy towels" were welcomed after showering under the "rain shower. Every morning I was greeted by Jim escorting me to my table that was set with beautiful crystal, China , and silverware. The fragrant smell of the fresh baked muffins or pastries was delightful. This bed and breakfast was delightful. Quiet, comfortable, beautifully furnished rooms, complemented by lovely common areas and an amazing, home-cooked breakfast. The location and proximity to downtown Valparaiso can’t be beat. Ample street parking is available. We can’t wait to stay there again!

This was a perfect getaway stay. I wish we planned two nights as we didn’t have time to walk uptown to see all the action that was going on. The Inn was beautiful with so many cute nooks to relax in. He accommodated us for an early checkout and served us a light breakfast on the patio. The coffee was delicious, a big bowl of fresh fruit and the best lemon poppy seed muffin we ever had! I hope to return and stay longer.

Very nice quiet area, great location central to downtown spots all within walking distance. Very clean, tidy, warm and welcoming. Owner is extremely friendly and an excellent chef! Breakfast was top notch! Highly recommend for couples.
