Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Valparaiso, IN

Our stay at the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Valparaiso was excellent. The owner, P. Bansal was so kind, welcoming, and extremely professional. We had our daughter's wedding and are so happy this was the hotel of choice for the guests. The hotel was clean, the food area was so good and the coffee hot. My family and friends also complimented their stay and said how wonderful the staff was during their stay. We had gift bags for our guests and Pranati and one of her staff members were so helpful by taking them all at the desk and passing them out to the wedding guests staying at their hotel. If you are ever in need of a hotel near Valparaiso.....check in at Country Inn and Suites you will not be disappointed. Thank you Pranati. Wishing you all the best!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean upon arrival, but there were a few issues with our stay: ||1) Funky-smelling bathroom, likely due to poor drain design. Keeping the fan on continuously helped somewhat, but the smell was still noticeable.|2) The toilet ran continuously unless we toggled the handle. |3) The heater made a loud clicking noise throughout the night. It didn't matter whether it was on or off, and we didn't sleep well on either of the two nights of our stay.||We reported the issues to the desk upon checkout. They apologized for the inconvenience and said they would have maintenance look into it. ||On a positive note, the included breakfast was tasty, and there was a variety each morning (e.g., omelets one day and scrambled eggs on another).

The thing that makes this property stand out is the staff: They're just so friendly and helpful! They really brighten your day, especially when you arrive weary after a long day of travel. The pool and workout room are also very nice perks at this price point. And there's a bit of unique artwork that makes this place feel a bit more "local" than the usual chain hotel.

For our purposes (funeral) the location was exceptional; close to funeral home and church. Meal options were very nearby, with close proximity to shopping for any necessities. Our room was more than adequate, clean, and housekeepers very diligent to ensure we had towels. Front desk staff was friendly and the breakfast was great each. Highly recommend.

Just a few things I'd like to say about my stay. The room was not clean. Hair in bathtub and bathroom sink. The chair in the living area arm were very dirty. Floors needed vacuuming. Everything in my suitcase and my pillow and blanket smell of chlorine must be from the pool. The smell of that hits so strong with even the entrance of the building. Your breakfast is worse than McDonald's. The noise of some type of motor running in my room while sitting in the living room was unbearable unless the tv was turned up. Very disappointed with the facility for the cost of my stay.
