University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center

Please keep in mind that this is an older hotel and the rooms are not updated. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable and quiet. Good shower, fresh bedding and towels. Traveling alone I felt safe in this hotel. There is ample lighted parking. It is close to downtown which was a plus for me. I will stay here again. The price was great and the staff were very friendly. If you are expecting modern updated rooms though you would be disappointed.

The hotel’s downtown location was extremely convenient. My suite was clean, well maintained, and offered a relaxing atmosphere. The gym and indoor pool were clean and well kept, and the centrally located bar had comfortable seating and a welcoming vibe.||I traveled alone and felt safe walking in the evening to a nearby restaurant just two blocks away. When my computer unexpectedly stopped working, I was especially grateful for the business center with a computer and printer, which allowed me to complete my project without stress. Overall, a comfortable, safe, and well-equipped stay

If you book through capital one or other booking service using points or other service, BE SURE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO GET. Linen was clean. Clean room but very outdated. No breakfast. You can get a better room at a better price at Super 8 or Best Western. UPDATE: The manager respectfully inquired and seemed genuinely concerned about my experience. He don't own the hotel but manages what he has to work with. I can respect that. Ill raise my overall star just because of that.

Positive: The interior was excellent. The view was nice. The breakfast was good. The bathroom was in top condition and smell. Negative: No microwave in the room. No refrigerator in the room. Spots on the carpet that looked like it could have been unstained. The chair needs upholstering. No USB connections unless you bring your own. The placement of the hand soap.

This hotel has a luxurious look but when you get inside you see how everything is Old. The door to our room had a crack and can look into the room a bit when you get into the shower you can see at the corners of the wall with the ceiling sone peeling/mold but the pressure tho is amazing but no modes to switch up with (which for me isn't a problem at all) as well as the ceiling has sprinkler system which gives an old feel. The beds themselves arent the greatest but they're ok. The pool is pretty small only 5ft deep the outdoor one is way bigger but is wide open and not really private from people outside of the hotel. Has a nice smoking area with a fire pit in the middle. For some reason to drink the water bottle they put in the room costs $6 🤷🏽‍♂️. Its located a couple blocks away fro
