TownePlace Suites by Marriott Springfield

My husband and i are staying here. We chose this hotel because last year it seemed great when we stayed during a different health issue. I'm in the hospital at the moment, and the hotel is right across the street. I called to extend our reservation, which they seemed happy to do and confirmed our room number. Nobody said our reservation had ended or anything like that when i called. Then later my husband went to get some sleep, and for some reason they completely cleared our room, stole our charger, stole our shirts and socks, and stole our food, so now my husband only has his swim trunks, a shirt, and his shoes. And by "they" we mean the STAFF, whether HOUSEKEEPER or whatever, stole. our. stuff. We are absolutely LIVID!!!! We should be able to deal with my surgery and health after and no

Rooms have small “kitchen” which is great. They only clean the rooms every other day which means no new towels or beds made. There are no longer trash bags in the trash cans (Marriott policy)and when the room is only cleaned every other day it’s not ideal.

The staff here have been so pleasant. My mom has been in and out of the hospital for a month and I’ve been traveling 5.5+ hours to Springfield staying at this hotel with the hospital discount rate. The rooms are clean, spacious, great breakfast offerings, coffee, convenience of location, and just overall has felt so comfortable during such a heavy time. Thank you, you’re all wonderful.

We stopped here on our way through town. Room was good, nice a spacious and mostly clean. However, I found when I went to use the Microwave, that it was splattered with sauce or something. I cleaned it, but shame the person who last used it didn't. The bar in the lobby had a Happy hour, and offered Pizza to eat. There are very few restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was good.

Do you like constant hammering 9-6? Well this is the hotel for you. Forget about quiet rest, it’s not happening here. When I asked about it, the front desk staff suggested it was my fault because there was a “under renovation” tag in the Marriott app. No alternatives were offered other than stay somewhere else. All because there is too much greed or just incompetence to put people in rooms directly below the construction. I have stayed here 10+ times but never again.
