Uncle Joe's Cabins & Motel

We rented the yellow cottage for a last minute getaway for the weekend. Most of the reviews are accurate. If you're looking for the "Ritz", this is not it. It is quaint and cute. The cabins are older and the one we stayed in definitely had that 70's/80's aesthetic. The AC window unit worked very well, and the water stayed hot for a long time. Miss Gloria was the sweetest and let me accompany her to feed her donkeys and pony. She was very helpful with restaurant recommendations as well. After we checked out on Sunday, we ended locking ourselves out of our truck on Main St. Although Miss Gloria couldn't find the number for a local locksmith, she did call me that evening to check on us to see if we made it home okay. Now a bad little place to stay. Very close to many restaurants.

First I was with Nancy at the vacation. She gives reviews good or bad. She did not tell a lie and whether someone paid for her TRIP.It was a trip to go to a memorial not a vacation. is none of your business. The reason we stayed was it was not in ours name we ask that the lady get her money back but she didn't because she went on to Delaware on Friday. She got told about the place so she is repeating what was told to her before we came. The place was not satisfactory but we didn't stay they but at night. We couldn't stay there but there was no where else that we knew of but if it was us we would have got the money back. So for you to say drama you the one that has a problem. I first went here in 2013 when my aunt was getting married. The location was great and there's an awesome little gift shop down the road that had a lot to offer. My favorite memory of this place though is the crab traps that were set up in the back. It was something I hasn't seen before and it gave everyone visiting there something to bond over. Ny fiance and I are actually planning to rent here for a week in the summer for our honeymoon.

They rented me a room on the spur of the moment late at night in peak season. It is clean, homey, quiet, non-commercial. No hassles, no complaints. It is right off the road but has a country like feel to it. I saw frogs hopping on the ground and a cat lounging on the picnic table. You can hear the crickets. I felt at home there. Everything inside the room worked good; TV, air, shower, and sink, and the linens all were clean. Nice folks.

Loved the open air, birds chirping, ducks quacking, just a few steps away for crabbing, no other neighbors to be seen. Teens were able to ride their bikes ALL the way to the ocean! Loved the location. 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' was my first thought when I saw the 'cabin' which was an old mobile home. The inside was clean on first glance, the price she charged seemed like a lot, but this place allowed us to have separate beds, and 2 bedrooms! Joe's wife Gloria was very clear with her careful instructions to space out the showers since there was only a small water heater, and we don't want to overwork the septic system. Once we moved in I realized the place was beneath my living standards, the sliding doors for the bedrooms and bathrooms were crap, and the front door would open
