Customer Reviews
Tumble In is a mixed bag. You can get customer service with some effort, but figuring out where the campground host was took listening to the voice greeting on the phone line you are encouraged not to call, but to text. Once I tracked him down, he was helpful. (Nobody responded to my text.) Open-to-all camp kitchen with fridge and microwave/stove/toaster was very handy and probably the best amenity. Bathroom and hot shower are fine except there are no paper towels or soap provided, so if you want clean hands after your visit to the toilet, you gotta bring your own every single time, which is a PITA. Also, it helps to love goatheads because they will carpet your camper/tent floor and you will need to learn to live with them (you can). Train noise was atmospheric, not annoying. Lovely stars
We really enjoyed our week here. Its the perfect Rv location to see Marfa, lights, enjoyed the cuisine & Prada store. Nice Marfa & Retro vibe. Werent bothered by trains at all. Beautiful starry dark night skies with milky way from horizon to horizon. Recommend making a reservation for star party at McDonald Observatory. Thought restrooms & showers were reasonably clean, kitchen is a little rough but usable. We will be back!
Cute little campground with good views, basic but warm amenities, camp kitchen and friendly people. We had a cheap, spacious RV spot with power and electric. Also the city of Marfa is really worth a stop because of the beautiful buildings, art galeries, shops and the nice atmosphere.
What can I say. We paid $32 for a spot to park our rv, and go see Marfa Lights. We didn't need to utilize power, water or sewer. We walked around the park, and saw the restrooms, shower and small common area. This place is absolutely cool and worth the price they charge. It's a great value. The only negative we saw, it has a horrible amount of goat head stickers, they got wedged in our shoes anytime we exited out truck or rv. They are in all rocks, dirt, just everywhere. I have a feeling it's next to impossible to get rid of them, so just be aware. All in all, pretty awesome place.
Stayed in Marfa for two days, wanted to see Ft Davis. The shutdown closed the Fort, so we went to the State Park, definitely recommend. The park is basic, never saw an employee, bathroom/shower house was basic, it was cleaned daily. Easy in and out, they need to cut the tree at the entrance, tough to see the sign. Would stay again.
