Thunderbird Hotel

We travel most of the year and had the pleasure to stay at Thunderbird quite a few times. This is by far our favorite motel in the US. The rooms are always sparkling clean and smell very nice. Very awesome combination of retro and modern decor and the outdoor pool area is gorgeous and relaxing. The king size beds are more comfortable than most high end hotels. The attention to details is amazing, rooms stocked with high end shampoos, lotions and body skin care. Very cute garden and even a firepit that's been stocked with wood every time we stayed. Ignore the reviews about rude staff reviews. Every time we checked in, we went to the key pickup box which takes less than a minute to get your key and self check-in. This hotel is adorable! The staff at the front desk were super nice and gave some good recommendations for outings in the area during my stay. The room and bathroom/shower were super clean, and the bed was comfy. The outside area is a great chill spot with cute lighting and plenty of sitting areas. Bring mosquito repellent. There is a loud train nearby that has to be mentioned but, it wouldn't keep me from staying there again!

This place is terrible. You pickup your keys at a keybox. Very unclear where. There is a small office. The person who works there is extremely rude and unwelcoming. Tattoos in her face and unbelievably rude. Probably struggling with issues and shouldn’t work in hospitality at this “hotel”. She was so rude, that I thought I was being pranked. Hotel has a fridge that makes loud noises. Also the bathroom is outdated There is a train track right behind the hotel so you’ll hear the trains several times in the nights. Avoid this place, absolutely not the worth the money, and plenty of other options.

Comfortable bed, cute room, good location but it could use some TLC as the rooms are showing some wear & tear. Our HVAC split made very loud noises randomly so sleep was affected. Overall it was a good stay though.

We spent one night at the Thunderbird Hotel. The room with king bed was very clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom and plenty of counter space and room for luggage. No complaints at all. The office is across the street from the actual hotel.
