Tru by Hilton Christiansburg

I have stayed here 12 nights in the past three months. My last stay was January 10-12. I was also a team member. I talked with the front desk about extending the stay another night, and they said that was fine. I booked another night and went to work the next day. They called me around noon to say they were canceling the extention and that I needed to have everything out within the hour. They said my stuff stunk! I was in disbelief. I left work and got over there to see what was going on. My key card did not work, so I had to wait for them to do a new one. It did not work, either. They had left the front area and were nowhere to be seen, until I followed the voices and found a few staff members huddled in the kitchen room area. I asked them politely to redo the card. We were in Christiansburg for the Virginia Tech football game. This hotel is just off the interstate, next to a Cracker Barrel. Easy 15 minute drive to the campus. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly, especially during breakfast when they were mingling with the guests and refreshing the breakfast bar. The food for breakfast was great! Eggs, bacon, sausage, and various breads. They have automatic pancake machines, and the pancakes were delicious! The rooms are smaller, but we never felt cramped. Very Clean! We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel looks new & modern. Great location at the intersection of 81 & 460 to Blacksburg. Our room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. Very nice pillows & we all had a good night sleep. Breakfast although simple has all the ingredients I like for an early start. They offered 24 hours self help coffee & teas at the lobby was another great perk. Great stay all around!

This hotel is amazing ‼️ The staff is friendly and helpful. The lobby is amazing. The rooms were wonderful. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great. Everything was neat and clean. I loved the colors, and the ambiance of each area. The breakfast offerings were great. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfy, shower got hot. They even had a pool table and board games in the lobby. I have a low bar, but this spot exceeded it for the price.
