Suburban Studios Christiansburg - Blacksburg

It was bad. I'm not picky or a complainer, but this was the worst stay in a hotel I've ever experienced. Room:260 When we first unpacked we noticed a small leak from a sink pipe. It wasn't much and we werent' planning to use the kitchenett so we just stayed away from the sink. Also the TP roller wasn't installed correctly, so it broke every time you took a tissue: no shampoo or conditioner. The TV wasn't fully installed so we couldn't get the volume to work. We called the front desk about the TV and he rewired something. It would have been fine, but when we got back to the room the sink (that we didn't use at all) backed up so the floor was flooded and the room smelled like sewage. This is NOT a 5-star hotel. We paid about $300/nt because it was parents weekend, so that was our fault. The rooms were renovated but they were filthy. Our room reeked of smoke (smoke detector was ripped off of the wall). The sheets were dirty. I would’ve left after the first night if I could’ve found any other vacancy.

We stayed the night of 15-16 August 2025 in room 141 paid 180$. Room was not clean at all. Upon arriving and checking into the room I noticed the floor appeared dirty. I went back to the desk and asked for towels and cleaning supplies so I could hand mop the floor. While on the floor I found an empty card board beer box under one of the beds along with all other sorts of trash under the other. This tells me that the house keepers are not cleaning the rooms well and not moving the beds. Room had gnats and a few flies we stayed two nights and still couldn’t kill all of them. Also noticed a dirty foot print on the back of the door which was a nice touch, it went well with the stains on the wall and bathroom door. But I guess you get what you pay for. I will never be staying again. Furthermore

The Rooms are modern & nice !! Very Clean also !! The Front desk staff are always super helpful & very friendly which made me feel very comfortable. Every Morning from 6am to 9:00am they have a great Breakfast bar plus the Lady who manages it is so sweet & super nice . You can tell that she cares about the service she provides !! The Housekeeping are also very nice & friendly !! They always ask when they see me if I need anything !! Plus it just feels like everyone that works here do their job very good plus you can see that they care about the service in which they are providing !! I have stayed here on 4 different occasions & each time was pleased with my stay & the cost 💲 !! Their rates are very affordable !! John Osborne
