Tru by Hilton Binghamton Vestal

I had to wait several minutes for the desk agent to arrive upon checkin, around 9/9:30 pm on a Thursday night. There was no way to alert them to my arrival, I just stood and waited to receive my key. I also had to remind the desk agent about my Hilton Honors check in snack/water perk. There was a group of young folks playing on the pool table in the lobby, which was quite noisy. I'm glad I was not staying on the ground floor. The hotel was showing signs of wear and tear. The blinds in the room were off of their track and damaged. Trim on the table above the refrigerator was coming off. When I arrived the door lock was engaged so that the room was "open" and the bath towels had not been replenished. Extremely disappointed with the housekeeping and service My husband has stayed at this hotel for two weeks now for work, and despite repeatedly asking the front desk and housekeeping staff to have his room cleaned, it was never done. He politely asked several times, and each time was told someone would take care of it… but no one ever showed up. Two weeks is completely unacceptable for a hotel stay without basic cleaning or fresh towels! Do better.

Unfortunately for a ‘newly built ‘ Tru Hilton, here in Binghamton NY, this location is a bit off the main beaten path and thruway’s… my first stay at this location . Unfortunately there are teenage boys running the halls playing pranks knocking on doors and running off. All night. You would think Hilton would at least have security cameras or a night watch. Not here. Sorry Hilton, I’m a regular customer so I blame your staff.

Design is colorful and modern. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet in the morning is great. Loved the pancake machine - wave your hand and it makes pancakes!

I booked a room here for me and my fiancée for the night of our engagement as we traveled across the country to our new home together. I notified the staff of this in the booking notes with hopes of maybe a nice heart towel or the lights being set to romantic when we enter, but when we walked in to our room for the night I was blown away by what the staff had done for us. Rose pedals, tea lights a small goodie basket with a wonderful card signed by the staff. To say our first night engaged was special is an understatement thanks to what the staff at this hotel put together for us. I can’t thank them enough for that. They’ve made a Hilton customer out of us for life.
