Travelodge by Wyndham Venice

I would give this a negative star if I could. Worst hotel room 104 The bed squeaks sooo loudly! King size bed, but any time we turned over, the bed squeaked so loudly! Woke both us up! No blanket just a thin duvet. With stains. King size bed with 3 SMALL pillows! I’m sure I could ask for another pillow, but why should I have to? The travel shampoo, conditioner and soap….. we had only conditioner…NO shampoo! Only 3 hangers in the closet and nowhere else to put your clothes. I can deal with the bad tile and a stain on a duvet but geez! Give me 4 small pillows on a king size bed, real blanket and more than 3 hangers in the closet!!!

Positive: This is one of Venice’s best kept secrets! On the outside, the hotel looks older and dated but the rooms, or at least the room we stayed in was newly renovated. Best motel and the least expensive that we’ve ever stayed at. Very pleasant surprise! Negative: ""

Michele at front desk was very helpful and pleasant. We had an issue with our room. Air condition leaking water into room...Michele came to inspect and called for maintenance or switch room. But we were exhausted from work and chose to stay. No maintenance ever came. But she did try to help us. Had problems with Wyhdham rewards. She tried to assist us with that as well. The only reason I would stay there again is because she truly went out of her way to make our stay there comfortable. Even recommend place to eat in the area. Thank you Michele!

We live in Michigan, and thought that we could find an affordable place to visit Venice Beach. Well, thank you Ray. You are wonderful. The property is well kept and the location is amazingly close to beaches. If you like mall shopping, stay at home. If you enjoy sunsets off the gulf coast at an affordable price, stay at Travelodge by Wyndham Venice.

My son and I stayed while in town for Braves' Spring Training. The motel is undergoing a renovation. We got what appeared to be a completely refurbished room that still smelled very new. We wondered if we were the first guests in it after remodel. The exterior needs attention, but that may be coming. Much of the remodel furniture was outside the rooms so it was an active work site. The room was clean and comfortable. Stay soon before the new wears off!
