Sunshine Inn & Suites

We were delightfully surprised with this hotel. The grounds were neat and clean. You could tell when you drove up that the hotel was well cared for. Our room was well maintained and comfortable. The staff was so very helpful and accommodating. You don't have to pay an arm and leg to get a good place to stay at the beach. We had some confusion with our original reservations, no fault to the hotel, and they worked with us to come up with the perfect solution. This little hotel is just a few minutes' drive from the beach and we found it to be a gem. We hope to get the opportunity to visit again.

This hotel is actually an old motel. It’s the typical single story building where you park in front of your room. ||The pool pictured is in the parking lot but is very popular. ||I was impressed with the quality of my room. The rooms are well appointed with nice comfortable beds. My room had a very nice shower that had floor to ceiling tile. ||The AC worked great and it was a nice retreat after a long day. The price was right and overall I was impressed. ||It of course lacks the attributes of a hotel but was perfect for my needs.

Positive: Good location, clean rooms and low price Negative: Some of the people who stay at the hotel are the less desirables in our society. You have to expect this at this price point. I was unfortunate that they had a lot of them during my stay. Loud noise, drinking at night right outside my room

Proprietors Francis and Marvin run a great little budget hotel/motel. Strong internet connection + multiple outdoor work spaces tell me not to mention extremely clean pool area with shaded tables recessed back towards tall property fence line. Tastefully landscaped with noise reducing palms that insulate from the busy road. Thick walls, updated rooms, direct tv 500 (w all movie HBO etc) channels, parlor donuts, Fishbone, Dollar Tree, Beals, Burlington Aldi, clean green 🍏 drinks, 711, Checkers, Culver's etc all within or one block approximately.

I checked into my room which was a king bed to discover the room had a mildew smell and after further inspection found mold in the bathroom, stained towels, and water damage on the ceiling that they just painted over. I called the from desk and they gave me a different room with 2 queen beds instead and a smaller room and they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. Definitely not coming back here.
