Travelodge by Wyndham Orangeburg

The bed in our room was nice and firm. The way I prefer my bed to bed. The rooms still have carpet in them which is isn't sanitary in my opinion, I prefer hotels that have laminated floors. Also, each time I asked the front desk clerk for extra towels for us to shower, she made a big deal out of it. I suppose their guests are to only have (1) wash cloth, (1) hand towel and (1) bath towel per a day. Also....Any hotel I've stayed in before, always changed the bed linens each day. Apparently this hotel location doesn't UNLESS YOU ASK. I asked nicely each day for my bed linens to be changed that MOST HOTELS DO. The lady in housekeeping that as assigned to my room made it seem like a big deal to change them EVEN WHEN I ASKED NICELY. SHE DID IT, BUT HER DIMENOR DIDN'T AGREE. AS IF I WAS ASKIN

Positive: Close to main route, and hot water shower and comfortable bed Negative: No insulation in the walls. We heard everything outside including screaming people and car doors slamming, and motorcycle engines revving all through the night. Did not get a good night sleep.

My sister and I have made this our “go to “ place on our trips to and from Florida when we visit our folks. The rooms are clean and comfy with everything you need for the night. Front desk staff are always pleasant and welcoming. The mini-breakfast (cereal, juice, and coffee) is fine if you’re in a hurry to get back on the road and don’t want to spend time sitting in a restaurant. Plenty of fast food restaurants are close by, and Ruby Tuesday and Cracker Barrel are an easy walk. Gas stations and convenience stores are also nearby. We like the older motel feel; it reminds us of road trips we went on as kids!

Rooms are clean, staff including myself are ready to ensure a pleasant visit. We're located right off exit and surrounded by different dinning experiences. Come check us out. Tell them Marcia sent you!!

This is a perfectly decent motel. Definitely dated but clean and easy access off the highway. Like how you can park right outside your room. Very basic breakfast with cereal, milk, OJ and coffee - enough to get you going. It's on the main road so you do get some road noise but it quiets down after 11pm.
