Spark by Hilton Orangeburg

Working out of town I stayed for a little over 3-weeks because of it's convenient location. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The furnishings are sparse and cheap. No coffee in the room. During my 3-week stay they did not change the sheets. I was working nights and had the do not disturb sign out most days. However, I requested service twice the day before room would be vacant; while the trash was collected and clean towels resupplied, the bed was left unmade. The "Bagel" breakfast was also poorly supplied. Watery or no orange juice on several occasions, no bagels (zero) one or two days, no milk for the cereal a day or two. Probably the most inconvenient, cheap, God awful hotel we have ever been the victim of in our 57 year marriage. The suites are huge, the staff is wonderful, the conveniences are none. We requested a handicapped room, because we needed a roll in shower for a wheelchair bound person. The room WA's labeled "handicapped by a sign next to the door.The bathroom WA's large so a wheelchair could get in. Their WA's NO SHOWER. There WA's a tub with walls about 2.4 feet high. There was a grab bar. For getting in, if your feet can make it over the high wall. My spouse had to practically life me in. Getting out, you're on your own. Bottom of tub is not exactly non slip, either. There is no in room coffee at this hotel. There are 2 cardboard coffee cups on the empty cabinet, but no keurig and no way to

DISAPPOINTED STAY AT SPARKS I'm still shaking my head after my recent stay at this hotel. As a first-time guest there, I was expecting a certain level of comfort and amenities, but unfortunately, this hotel fell short. The room lacked basic necessities like soap, a clock, coffee maker and water. The ice maker was only available in the lobby, which was inconvenient. But what really got me upset was the room assignment. Despite requesting a room close to the elevator due to my husband's mobility issues, we were placed on the top floor, furthest from the elevator. It was cleared our request was ignored. The hotel's pricing was also questionable-$7 for a bottle of water that's $1.39 at Walmart. Breakfast is very limited, honestly even the cheaper hotels have better. Only choices were bagels/bread, muffins , cereal, yogurt and apples. Had to go out for breakfast. Very disappointed considering nearly every other hotel in this price range has waffle maker, more fruit and eggs sometimes

This hotel is not a Hilton!! It is old and dirty. The bathroom door was all rusted at the bottom and the carpet was filthy. The free breakfast had 2 options. Bagel or cereal. That's it!! Oh they had 1 package of oatmeal. The nightly front desk clerk was downright rude. When I checked in she asked if I had pets, then yelled at me to tap my card. She then handed me my room key and said "down the hall to the left." Nothing about wifi, breakfast times, let me know if you need anything, etc. I travel a lot and had my wife and son on this trip. Not a good experience.
