Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orangeburg by IHG

We travel from Florida to the DC area several times a year to visit family and friends. It is a two day trip for us. Holiday Inn Express in Orangeburg, SC, is midway. So this is our "go to" place to rest and relax after a long drive on the first day. The staff is welcoming, efficient, and knowledgeable. Our room is always spotless, with comfy pillows, mattress, and comforter. In the morning before we tackle a second day on the road we have a yummy breakfast, juice, and coffee. It is consistently a great place to stay!

This hotel is perfect for a traveler's stay. We stayed in the one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable with 4 pillows each, and our youngest said the sofa bed was comfy, as well. There's a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker in the room, as well as lots of cupboards for storage. There is a door that can be closed to separate the 2 queen beds from the rest of the area, and each area has its own TV. We slept through the breakfast, but other reviews say it is great. We will definitely stay here again

Positive: Very nice complimentary breakfast. More than just the average bread, fruit, yogurt and coffee offering. Size of room is nice. Negative: While the building overall seemed clean, the elevator was dirty and in severe need of a redo. Understandably being south there is more humidity but the high amount of noticeable rust was surprising. The rate I paid for one night was extremely overpriced.

This HIE is showing significant signs of wear. The evening front desk staff was very friendly when we arrived. The elevator and walls appear to be in need of some touch ups and repair. The room was well used, but comfortable. It wasn't anything to get excited about, but we slept/rested well. The morning breakfast was ok. There was a decent selection of hot food. The breakfast was from 6:30-9:30 am. They were prompt at closing the breakfast at 9:30 am. The gentleman working the breakfast had music playing on his phone in his pocket as he worked. He also took a smoke break right outside the back door while we ate. No big deal, but there were a couple of items that needed to be refilled on the breakfast buffet that weren't before the 9:30 am closing. If you need a place to stay, this HIE wor

The ladies at the front desk were great !! They were busy because of our convention near by, They handled it like Professionals!! The room we got was an awesome room! The AC was the best I've ever experienced... it was so nice an cool, I could have stayed there forever! Good hot breakfast, clean rooms , close by the interstate and the people were very friendly! I will definitely stay there again in March 2026. Cracker barrel Restaurants across the street and on the same road are other places to eat. Gas stations is walking distance. Every thing you need is close by. I give them 5 stars ⭐ across the board!!
