Travelodge by Wyndham Gananoque

Walking into the doors was welcoming, the front receptionist was bright and bubbly. My room is clean and neat, I loved the way the bathroom looked ! I had a good sleep in my bed, super comfy, lots of space. The pool is heated, just a walk to get to the grocery store. Highly recommend renting a room here. I was not disappointed!

It’s a small hotel ideal for one- two night stays, if all you are looking is spending time outside and stay in town. The staff is friendly and very nice, in the disposition to accommodate and very welcoming. They have an option for early/ late check outs for about $20 CAD every two hours, which is pretty useful specially with today’s hotel policies. The rooms are outdated but for just sleeping it isn’t a concern. Unfortunately, there is a cleaning issue apparent in several stays. We had insects in the room corners and thanks to the amazing staff we had less insects but the issue remains. The sheets seem to be clean, but there is dust and good crumbs on the surfaces. The breakfast is included but there aren’t proteins, and you have to eat it in your room (only some pancakes and muffins,

Reception:The receptionists were friendly and welcoming, making check-in a pleasant experience.Cleanliness:Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The microwave was dirty, and I found a stain in the fridge. Additionally, the hairdryer had a noticeable stain on it, which was quite off-putting. To make matters worse, there was an unpleasant smell of burnt food that lingered throughout the night, making the stay uncomfortable.Overall:While the staff's friendliness was a highlight, the poor room cleanliness significantly detracted from the overall experience. Improvements in housekeeping are essential.

We recently stayed during a pre-season hockey tournament in Gananoque with our team and had a great stay! We would recommend this as a great option for young families during the warmer months. The rooms were updated and clean, if a little small (cozy!;)); beds and pillows were comfy. Kids had an amazing time at the outdoor pool and adjacent lawn playing soccer, etc, and enjoyed the pancake breakfast included. Hotel staff was extremely hospitable with our group.

The rooms are dated which does not concern me as long as they are clean and comfortable. The room had a musky smell, the carpet very stained and the Queen Bed (?) felt more like a double. Do not book a single queen room, as you will not be able to get out the window side of the bed. The space between the bed and the window was less then 4 inches, and there was an electric heater on the floor. My wife had to sleep on the pull-out couch bed which was uncomfortable and smelled. The washroom shower was excellent with hot water. The toilet on the other hand you and to use side saddle as the clearance between the wall and the toilet was less then 3 inches.
