Gateway Motel

Very affordable option to spend the night if you’re travelling by. Friendly staff, clean and comfy room, quiet place, even offers breakfast. Lots of people giving bad reviews because the “place is old” or “breakfast could be better”… well if they want to pay $300 on a big hotel they will get that… you get what you pay for and this place delivers exactly what you pay for.. maybe more!

Total dump and owner is a scam artist ..stayed there for 2 months If we had better options at the time we definitely would have told this clown to fly a kite ..dirty ,bugs mice proper renos are definitely needed not the hackjob ones that are being done ..price changed every other week and he kept our security deposit..told me and my partner he was going to give it back well he didn't he said oh I added it to your rent..he made me a deal saying 350 aweek i was ok that's fair that lasted a week went back up to 400 because we had to use heat so we paid 2400 first and 2600 the Last month for the worst place I have ever stayed ..honestly im in gananoque every year and stay there a few times a year I can tell the gateway will never be one of then again and trust me I have allot of friends t

You get what you pay for. Very nice for a short stay before exploring the Islands. Breakfast is good. They also offered free parking after I checked out so I can stroll the town without being worry about the parking fee.

This motel is a great deal. If you are looking for something fancy, obviously this is not it. BUT for one of the lowest prices, I much preferred this location to the motels on the busy other side of town. You can walk into the heart of town from here in 20 minutes. The room provided all the basics we needed (clean sheets, fridge, air conditioning) with a lovely view of wild growth and birds in the back. Friendly service and morning snacks to get you day started (basics like yoghurt, bananas, toast…)

My husband planned a surprise trip for our 17th anniversary and we stayed here for 3 nights! It is an older motel but we love places like this! Not only was it close to town, the price was right, it was super clean and the owners were very friendly. A free breakfast is included!
