Travelodge by Wyndham Benton Harbor

I was disappointed to have had traveled three hours to visit with family and friends before the summer ended and I was awoken by a literal cockroach climbing on my face. Our smoke detecter had no battery in it, there was rat poop in the corner of the bathroom, our tv didn’t work and I spoke with the office staff to comp the room or give us a refund. He agreed then told me I should have came to him when it happened. I let him know that he told me to talk with the manager after I approached him in the middle of the night with a squished roach in a cup and I waited in my car for the manager to come in and he never did. I called to see if they would at least refund me or comp the room that I had paid more than listing price and they hung up on me! I wish I was lying. I wouldn’t reccomend.

I booked this hotel through Priceline (all of the Priceline people were excellent). I asked to book a hotel where I could have a late check out due to work constraints (night shift as a health care worker), the Priceline member called this hotel, spoke with one of the staff, and told me that a late check out would not be a problem and I was given the rate. When I arrive, they don’t see the reservation and rebook it (and charge me again, Priceline refunded me for theirs, again excellent customer service on their part). The day of the late check out, I go to the staff to confirm it and am told I must leave at the normal checkout time (11am) even though I was told I could stay till 6pm. Since there are no other options, I’m forced to pay for another night. Absolutely terrible service from the

DO NOT STAY HERE!! If I could give no or negative stars, I would. This place is a cross between a halfway house and a crack-shack. Bedbugs, roaches, and sleazy staff that won't refund your money if it's been more than 15 minutes since check in, plus tried to palm my out-of-state ID. When I tried to book in I told them I have a trailer on, and need a long parking space. The desk staff understands only enough English to take your money. I explained I had a trailer, even showed him, and that I needed long parking so instead he led me to the back corner of the lot where it was nearly impossible to get back out.

No bedbugs but bed looks like there's was bugs,tub was really dirty looks like never been wash.window sind of bugs. Door looks like someone broke in...not really safe..

Do not stay here. It's not a motel so much as a transitional housing development. We were on a road trip looking for a moderately priced place to stay in Benton Harbor. We paid over $120 for a room at this Travel Lodge because we thought it would be a safe bet. We've stayed at Travel Lodges all over the country and never had a problem until now. When we arrived their were people dealing drugs in the parking lot and eyeballing our vehicle. The television didn't work and the room was very dirty. Ultimately my husband asked the manager to change rooms and he complied. We moved to a room in the front of the building which felt safer. This room didn't have any blankets on the beds and the fire alarm had been disconnected. The swimming pool is not operational even though the website says it is.
