Quality Inn & Suites Benton Harbor - St. Joseph

Stayed here for few days awaiting on my job. Rooms are clean and actually nice. Bed mattresses a re thick and you get your good good sleep. Everything worked in my room. No bed bugs or any bugs detected. One day I paid 50$ total for a room. Go ahead and show me a decent room for 50$ with a breakfast (waffles, bagels, cereal, coffee, milk). Most days they are around 50$-60$ total. You may smell some weed but its Michigan and where do you not. Will definitely stay here and recommend.

Started my visit with a non-working TV, the receptionist did come and make some wiring repairs after a fifteen-minute wait. (TV did work the rest of the week). I'm not sure if breakfast was available, as i went down at 6:30 but it was completely dark in the Kitchen/dining area. There was a dog across the hall that barked when i entered/left my room. The exterior entrance did not close and latch. Room was very comfortable, bath/shower were good but overall, it was not a great stay.

Positive: Friendly and helpful staff. I really appreciated having the weightlifting facility! Good bagels in the morning. I appreciated having a refrigerator and coffee in the room. Shampoo supplies also helpful. Negative: My room had an unpleasant odor. Not quite enough blanket on the bed to keep warm. Flooring in room needed to be mopped. Shower control handle not clearly marked about how to regulate temperature and flow.

I stayed here during the winter storm on Saturday 11/29. The hotel was at bare minimum decent. You get what you pay for but what was extremely alarming is the fact that the following day after the snow fell no one shoveled or plowed the parking lot. Many of the cars were stuck in the parking lot after check out long after check out time at 11a. The hotel did not shovel you out of your parking spot and instead gave customers shovels to shovels themselves out. With the massive snow fall this was dangerous and totally unprofessional after paying to stay at their property the least they could've done was shovel the parking lot. Someone could've easily gotten hurt. I am disappointed with the service of this hotel and there should be some kind of compensation offered. P.s. don't stay here if it

Zero stars if that were an option. On one of the snowiest days of the year, this business canceled their snowplow service and didn’t clear their driveway at all. I ended up stuck on their property because of it. When the owner came out, instead of taking responsibility, he told me to call a tow truck. I asked if he planned to cover the cost since their failure to plow caused the situation. He said no — “that’s your problem.” Then he looked me in the face and claimed he did pay to have the driveway plowed. That was an obvious lie. If they had paid, I wouldn’t have been stuck in an unplowed driveway in the first place. This wasn’t an accident. This was a business cutting corners on basic safety and shifting the consequences onto someone else. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional.
