TownePlace Suites by Marriott Portland Airport

My experience on January 5th in Portland, OR at the Townplace Suites Portland Airport, convinced me that I must move forward based on the continual mistreatment. After my flight arriving late into Portland, I was extremely tired. I had made a reservation the day before from the 5th-7th. However, when I arrived to the hotel I was discriminated against, verbally abused and mistreated byt the front desk clerk by the name of Adam. I was again made to feel embarrassed by being accused of lying and not making a reservationm even after showing Adam a picture of my reservation clearly stating January 5th through the 7th. Adam told me that his system didn't show my reservation, so I proceeded to make another one through the ap on my phone as Adam stood and watched. He continued to tell me that ther

Positive: The rooms were new and nice. Negative: There was major construction going on in and around the hotel. There was no pool, gym, market or food available on site all closed due to construction. This was not disclosed when we made the reservation!! The price was to high with no amenities!!!

Miss my flight and had to spend one more night near the Portland airport. Look things up noticed that this one was a great price. And when I like most about it is that it’s really new. Quiet the night staff with terrific Michael in particular was very attentive to my needs. I’ll pick you up at the airport and bring you here if you want to spend extra money on an Uber or a Lyft. Just five minutes away from the airport. Nice breakfast in the morning. Everything that I need in a hotel. this could be the first time I’ve stayed out of town place. Super good value for the price I paid. Sometimes I pay opt to standard “nicer hotel. But honestly, I think this one works out just fine. I may have to look at more TownePlace Marriott Braun in the future.

I thought I would be getting a survey email for this newly renovated Marriott brand hotel but I did not so here we go! They definitely just reopened after a big remodel and overall the hotel is quite lovely and the service was excellent. Super easy to park out front in the parking lot (paid parking), the beds were comfortable, and everything is nice and new. A few key improvements needed that I mentioned to the front desk staff when I was staying there: The refrigerator in my room was running but not working/not cold at all. One of the kitchen cabinets hit a light fixture that was mounted to the wall next to it, terrible installation and not sure who approved that upon final walkthrough. To Whom It May Concern I am formally complaining about an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience I had while attempting to check in at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Portland Airport. Upon arrival, I attempted to check in using my debit/credit card. The front desk staff had two card machines available, and neither of them was functioning properly. I attempted to use two different cards, both of which were declined due to the malfunctioning equipment—not because of any issue with my accounts. I explained this calmly and asked whether it would be possible to manually enter my card information so that I could check in. I had just flown into Portland and was extremely tired.
