TownePlace Suites by Marriott Opelika Auburn

This is a fairly new place, you can still smell the paint on the walls! Clean, and the rooms were unbelievably spacious! A full size fridge, dishwasher and a sink! Beds were comfortable too! All the staff were very pleasant as well. Definitely would come back and Texas Roadhouse right next door walking distance was the cherry on top!!

Disclaimer: to be fair hotel has only open for 3 weeks. No good overhang for loading and unloading in inclement weather. Doors at front are hard to navigate. Front desk is welcoming. Elevator a bit hidden. No complimentary coffee or water on arrival. Staff are a bit green. But like I said only open for 3 weeks. Room door was extremely hard to open. Room was clean. It did have a strong smell of chemicals, maybe the newness? Opened the window to let in fresh air, no screen on the windows. Liked the couch, kitchen and bathroom. Bed a bit soft, and sheets were a bit scratchy. Upon leaving in the morning went to get a cup of coffee... 9am only 1/2 cup left. No one around. Overall so so. Not sure we will stay again.

Serendipity found me and my husband spending one night here. It was our first time staying at a TownePlace & Suites, and boy, were we in for an unexpected and unforgettable experience. Sarah was absolutely sweet and wonderful at the breakfast. Clean suites and perfectly-appointed amenities. This will definitely be our stopover during our roadstrips. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
