Comfort Inn Opelika - Auburn

The hotel stay was pleasant, it was clean. The most important is that I left a blanket, that was a gift to me. The girl that cleaned the room took it to the front desk and they were so awesome they called me and are holding till I get back there next week. This was above and beyond of what is expected. I’m greatly appreciative and can’t thank the staff enough.

The minute I walked in I said, “This looks like a 3 star hotel!” The decor and colors in the lobby and rooms is upscale, comfy, clean, and inviting.

After my first night whenever I returned the hotel after my class my key wouldn’t work. The shower wouldn’t stay up on the hang it would slid down.the laundry bag left in the room would rip when when I started loading up my dirty laundry. They only had 2 baggage carts and one of them was broken. Never saw any housekeeping people and I didn’t get fresh towels until Wednesday and that is the only day my bedding was redone. One of TV remote had a messed up number keypad. When you tried to punch in a channel number it would repeat the first number several times.

Staff very friendly and professional. However, the room security lock was loose and didn’t feel safe. Bathroom had leaky faucet.

Stayed here last night. Room was awful. As soon as I walked in I smelled bleach very strong it almost made me sick. Besides that when walking further in the room there was a awful smell like a wet dog in the room. I guess it was the carpet. Awful experience
