Motel 6 Opelika, AL

If the quality of my room is indicative, this is a dump. My toilet was not properly attached to the floor so it would rock and roll. The bathroom door had some punch holes in it. Room in general was worn out. When I asked the desk clerk if there was a microwave in the room, he advised me that it's not required, but he thought there might be one in my room. (There was!) No on room coffee, but I always travel with a Keurig machine and pods. I should have moved on, but I was tired. Slept well. I like being able to park right outside my room. Easy to move in and out. I have stayed at cheaper hotels that were better quality.

It’s a pretty good place to lay your head overall. But some managers shouldn’t be here.

I thought it would be okay for 2 nights-Nope! I checked in around 8pm, left around 10pm to sleep in my car in a gas station parking lot for the night. Killed about 3 small roaches and a big fly before running out of bug spray. I immediately went to the store to buy more roach killer. The microwave had built up grime on the door and the fridge was not running cold. There were thick spider webs where the wall and ceiling meet. After I sprayed, another little roach came from under the bed. There was also a small dead bug on the top of the headboard. I should’ve read the reviews. I felt like moving to another room wasn’t satisfactory; the entire motel is probably filthy. I ended up checking out early. Only positive was the front desk clerk and housekeeper were nice.

Amazing! So helpful and welcoming! Clean room, great rate and near several places to eat. Pet friendly and plenty of parking spaces. We travel with work and we will be back on our way back through.

Stayed at this property with friends while attending an Auburn football game. We were told during booking that we could pay cash once at the motel and could cancel until the afternoon of our arrival. Upon arrival and check in we were notified that our card on file had already been charged by the morning crew and were not able to pay cash. Ours friends that were with us were reassigned rooms 3 times due to issues. One evening we were sitting outside having a drink and was told by management that we couldn't have alcohol outside in case the police rode thru and that it was considered drinking in public. Im guessing it perfectly OK though to smoke weed as the entire corner reeked. We will not stay here again nor will we recommend this property to anyone else.
